What is bi-phase cleansing?
Using both plant oils and natural floral waters to cleanse your skin is safe, natural, and affordable. Based on the principle that ‘like dissolves like’, plant-based oil applied to the skin will dissolve excess oil produced by your skin.
Cleansing with plant-based oils and floral waters such as jojoba and rose water help to remove dirt and make up, nurture the skin and balance the production of your skin’s own natural oil.
The 7 benefits of bi-phase cleansing
Balance oil production – when you use plant-based oils to cleanse your skin, the good oils bind with and remove the bad oils while absorbing the good ones, helping to regulate your own sebum production.
Remove dirt – oil binds with dirt to remove it from your pores, making it great for cleansing your skin of impurities.
Makeup remover – cleansing with oil and water is wonderful for removing makeup. It’s especially effective for removing eye makeup and nourishing your eyelashes when removing mascara. Simply pour a little oil on a cotton pad and wipe over your eyelids until all traces of makeup are gone.
Anti-ageing benefits – plant-based oils and natural floral waters are rich in antioxidants that help to neutralise the damaging free radicals that cause premature ageing. Using plant-based oils to cleanse will also help to absorb the skin-loving vitamins from the oils into your skin for a healthy glow.
Natural and non-toxic – unlike many over-the-counter products that are filled with harmful toxins, plant-based oils are a one-ingredient product from the earth, so you know that you’re not putting any nasties on your body.
Treat acne – due to its ability to remove dirt, bacteria and regulate oil production without clogging pores, bi-phase cleansing is great for treating acne, especially the more gentle jojoba oil.
Hydrates the skin – with their rich fatty acid content, natural bi-phase cleansers help to hydrate and plump the skin, which makes them great as a moisturiser too.
How do you do it?
Simply spray a little Divine Duo Be Mine into the palm of your hand, then massage all over your face, adding a little more if needed. Then simply wipe away with a warm Muslin cloth or cotton pad. Repeat if wearing make up then moisturise.
